Earth Day Invasive Plant Removal & Trail Day Clean-Up, begins 9:30 am, Nettleton Preserve, Old Castle Drive, volunteers invited to help Newtown Forest Association clear and repair trails, plant native species, etc, within preserve, all ages welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult), bring hand tools when possible, dress to work, call for details; 270-3650.

“The Lost Boys of Sudan,” 10 am, Trinity Episcopal Church undercroft, 36 Main Street, informative talk by former Newtown residents Ann Marie and Jerry Deluccio, who will be joined by three “lost boys” from Sudan who have emigrated to United States for better life including educational opportunities, public also invited to join Trinity members for 8:45 and 11:15 worship services (Deluccios will be giving sermon, their guests will offer traditional Dinka song); 426-9070.
