Auxiliary Seeking Perennials

The Ladies Auxiliary of Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company are hoping to spruce up the grounds around their company’s main station on Riverside Road.

Residents who have overgrown perennials that are taking up too much space in their garden are invited to share the wealth. Plants can be dropped off any time at the firehouse, at 18 Riverside Road. Donors are asked to leave a tag with a description of what type of plant is being donated, care instruction, and their name. Plants should be left in the back parking lot.

Flats of annuals and small shrubs are also being accepted. The auxiliary has planned a work session for Sunday, May 4, and would like to have the plant donations dropped off or delivered by then.

If help is needed to get the plants out of the ground, the auxiliary is happy to arrange for help.
