A Crucial Yes Vote

To the Editor:

The Head O’ Meadow School PTA (290 members strong) is proud to support both the town and school budgets as well as the proposed high school expansion.

Along with the other Newtown Parent Teacher Associations, we have made a concentrated effort this year to educate as many people as possible to ensure that our voter turnout surpasses last year’s initial 22 percent. It has never been more crucial to vote Yes for our town budget and education budget in order to pass them the first time. And only a Yes vote for the proposed high school expansion will ensure that this project begins in this calendar year, and that the overall project cost will not increase.

We encourage Newtowners to exercise their right to vote on April 22. Please make your voices heard — every vote really does count.
