James Pimpinello
James Pimpinello, 85, beloved husband of Josephine (Belchick) Pimpinello of Newtown, died April 14 at Pope John Paul II Center for Healthcare in Danbury.
Mr Pimpinello was born in Ambler, Penn., on December 9, 1917, the son of the late Angelo and Angelina (Riccardi) Pimpinella.
Jim was a foreman for the Remington Arms Company of Bridgeport for 43 years and a member of their quarter century club, past first president of the Remington Arms (Dupont) Pension Club, member of the Masonâs of Sandy Hook #18, and an avid volunteer for Fairfield Hills for many years.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife, Josephine, he is survived by one son, James Pimpinello, Jr, and his wife, Beth, of Southbury; one daughter, Paulette Cavanaugh and her husband, Bill, of Newtown; one brother, Alfred Pimpinelli and his wife, Ann, of Fairfield; four sisters, Evelyn Reiseg of Glen Mills, Penn., Rose Roberts of St Petersburg, Fla., Edith Pusta and her husband, Nick, of Brooksville, Fla., Mildred Wells and her husband, Ed, of St Petersburg, Fla.; his cherished grandchildren, Erin, Shaun, Jamie and Brendan Cavanaugh, and Jason and Rachel Hesse; his sister-in-law, Rose Pimpinelli of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his daughter Jamie.
A memorial service was held on April 17 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 1734 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull, with the Rev Judith Taffey officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
The Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2189 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, was in care of arrangements.
