James J.     Gaffney III

James J. Gaffney, III, 44, of Monroe, died suddenly April 13 in his home.

Born in Bronx, N.Y., he had been a Monroe resident since 1975.

Survivors include his beloved mother, Virginia Carroll Gaffney of Monroe; a brother, Robert C. Gaffney of Newtown; two sisters, Patricia A. Gaffney of Newtown and Janet E. Gaffney of Southbury; his paternal grandfather, James J. Gaffney of Groton; a nephew, Robert J. Gaffney of Newtown; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, James J. Gaffney.

James was an electronic technician employed by Imperial Electronic Assembly, Brookfield.

He was a graduate of Masuk High School, Class of 1977, an avid fisherman and New York Yankees fan. He will be remembered for his friendship and always being there to help.

Funeral services were held April 17 in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with the Rev Emil A. Witschy, pastor of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Trumbull, officiating.

Interment was private at the convenience of the family.
