Housatonic Habitat Kicks Off Youth United Campaign

BETHEL — Housatonic Habitat for Humanity invites Danbury-area youth to attend the kickoff of its Youth United program, to take place at 3 pm, Saturday, April 26, at Walnut Hill Community Church, 156 Walnut Hill Road.

The program is looking for enthusiastic volunteers between the ages of 5 and 25 to develop leadership skills, engage in service activities, fundraise, experience the joy of helping others, and –– ultimately –– help build homes in the greater Danbury area.

Attendees will learn of Habitat’s work locally and globally, meet current Habitat volunteers and like-minded youth, and get the chance to sign a two-by-four to be installed in the “Youth Build” home. Refreshments will be served.

More information about Youth United, and directions to the Walnut Hill Road church, are available on the HHfH website www.danburyhabitat.org.
