Fundraiser To Benefit Teen Center

Flyers around town at area businesses are promoting a fundraiser to help out the Newtown Teen Center on Church Hill Road that is under the direction of Newtown Parks and Recreation.

The fundraiser is asking members of the community to purchase Human-i-Tees items, which is a organization that raises money to help threatened forest lands while at the same time helping local organizations such as the Teen Center. For each purchase, $5 goes toward the fundraising efforts of the Teen Center. The hope is to raise money to replace carpeting, and purchase a ping-pong table and a pool table for the center that is open on the weekends for high school students and a few times throughout the year for middle school students.
