Free Program On Chronic Fatigue

A free program, “Clinical Nutrition for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,” will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 7–9 pm, at the Physical Medicine and Wellness Center, 24 Glen Road in Sandy Hook.

“If you are tired all the time, but your blood tests show that ‘there is nothing wrong with you,’ you may have a mitochondial dysfunction,” said certified nutritionist Beatriz Gallagher. “Mitochondia is a small organelle inside the cells that produces energy and can be injured, reducing their ability to work properly.

“There is no medicine to restore proper function, [but] by supplying the proper nutrients you may rehabilitate your cells,” she explained. “In this lecture, you will learn what can damage your cells and what helps them to heal.”

There is no fee but registration for the lecture is requested as space is limited. Call 426-6334.
