About Edmond Town Hall
To the Editor:
1. We appreciate any publicity we can get. However, in a recent article in your paper there are several things that must be corrected.
2. Funds used to maintain and run the building and grounds at Edmond Town Hall are not only received from the Hawley Fund and town budget, but from room rentals and movie theater.
3. When we replaced the entire roof for approximately $400,000, about $325,000 came from the Edmond Town Hall Board Managers funds and approximately $75,000 from Capital Improvement Projects (LOCIP) funds. No work has been done to the ventilation system for the movie theater.
The current elevator is in good repair and working order and is inspected quarterly by Otis Elevator Company and licensed by the State of Connecticut. The metal tape indicator was repaired, at a cost of approximately $3,000, to keep it in service.
