Newtown School Concert Dates

Students in the Newtown Public School’s Music Department are preparing for upcoming spring concerts scheduled for each school.

The following is a recent listing released by the school district of the 2013 Spring Concert dates. Note some concerts are set to be presented at locations other than the school that will be performing.

The Newtown High School Composers’ Concert will kick off the spring concert season Wednesday, April 23, beginning at 7 pm at NHS.

During the Newtown Middle School’s Celebration of the Arts on April 29, starting at 6 pm, multiple presentations of the school’s music students will be presented at the school.

Unless otherwise specified, the start time for all concerts is 7 pm.

Head O’ Meadow Elementary School’s fourth grade concert will at the school on May 5.

Hawley Elementary School’s fourth grade concert will be at the school on May 7.

The Newtown Night at Jazz will be at NHS on May 8.

NMS’s seventh grade concert will be at NHS on May 12.

NMS’s eighth grade concert will be at NHS on May 14.

Sandy Hook Elementary School’s spring concert will be at NHS on May 15.

The NHS Orchestra Concert will be at NHS on May 19.

The NHS Chorus Concert will be at NHS on May 21.

The NHS Band Concert will be at NHS on May 22.

Middle Gate Elementary School’s fourth grade concert will be at NHS on May 27.

Reed Intermediate School’s fifth grade Band Concert is set for May 28 at the school.

Reed’s sixth grade Band Concert is set for May 29 at Reed.

Reed’s fifth grade Orchestra and fifth and sixth grade Choir Concert is set for June 2 at Reed. The fifth grade Orchestra will perform at 7 pm and the fifth and sixth grade Concert Choir will perform at 8 pm.

Reed’s sixth grade Orchestra and fifth and sixth grade Chorus Concert is set for June 4 at Reed. The sixth grade Orchestra will perform at 7 pm and the fifth and sixth grade Chorus will perform at 8 pm.
