The Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity (SHOP) announces the third annual Celebrate Sandy Hook outdoor concert will to be performed at Village Green, 5 Glen Road, on Saturday, May 14.

Rising country star Tat Holler will headline this year's show, which will begin at 7 pm.

Performances will also include choir members from Reed Intermediate School.

SHOP President Joe Hemingway says "We invite one and all to come and celebrate Sandy Hook and its unique historic heritage and beautiful natural setting."

"SHOP is confident that the 'Celebrate Sandy Hook' concert will be the best event yet and continue to help revitalize the village by bringing an arts and culture scene into beautiful Sandy Hook," he added. Organizers are hoping that in addition to enjoying the free performance, visitors can stop in any shops and/or dine in one of the restaurants within walking distance of the park that is situated on the Pootatuck River.

The event's signature sponsor is Live Nation. 92.5 Radio is one of the sponsors of the event. Additional sponsors include Frontier Communications, PennGlobe, and Andy Sachs - Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

SHOP has been instrumental in supporting the Sandy Hook Village community and business district by implementing ongoing revitalization, marketing, business growth, philanthropy, advocacy, and arts and culture initiatives since the 80s. The group's mission is to promote the village as a family friendly, pedestrian-oriented community within Newtown which celebrates Sandy Hook's unique historic heritage and beautiful natural setting.

SHOP board members are made up of local Sandy Hook residents, storefront property owners, as well as local business owners
