NHS Percussion Earns Second Place At MAC Championships

The Newtown High School Winter Percussion ensemble completed its 2016 season on April 9 by participating in the MAC Championship event held at Westhill High School in Stamford, and earning second place.
The group won second place out of nine percussion ensembles with a score of 91.700. The ensemble also earned "Best Class A Percussion in Connecticut."
Two of the judges contacted Director Dave Brush to personally congratulate the ensemble for its continued advancement throughout the season.
The Newtown High School Percussion took home second place at the Westhill MAC Championship event on April 9. Some of the Percussion members posed for a photo at the event.
