Youth Lax Coaches Sought

The Newtown Youth Lacrosse Association is searching for coaches (head and assistant) for the spring season. A head coach is needed at the Boys 7th/8th ‘B’ level and assistants are needed at the Boys 7th/8th and 5th/6th ‘B’ level. Pop Warner Signups

The Newtown Pop Warner Football/Cheerleading program will hold registrations for the 2004 season on Saturday, May 8, from 9 am to 12 noon, in the Newtown High School cafeteria. Pop Warner will feature a new Mitey-Mite Division, with a minimum age of 7 and a minimum weight of 45 pounds. For football questions, call Mike McNamara at 364-1690. Westconn Basketball Camp

Namath/Dockery Camp

The Joe Namath/John Dockery Football Camp will run from June 27 through July 2 at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. National Football League players expected to participate include Anthony Becht and Kareem McKenzie of the Jets; Wayne Lucier and Dhani Jones of the Giants; Damon Huard, Antwan Harris and Deion Branch of the Patriots.The camp is open to players ages 8 to 18.
