‘Tending The Heart, Nurturing The Soul’

BRIDGEPORT — “Tending the Heart, Nurturing the Soul” is the presentation set for the statewide symposium sponsored by the Connecticut Council of Parish Nurse Coordinators to be held on Wednesday, April 28, from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm, at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven. The symposium is open to all nurses and clergy in the state.

The featured speaker will be Sister Doris Klein. Sr Klein will explore the role of spirituality in daily life. Sr Klein is a nationally known speaker who incorporates her artwork into her discussion of a holistic approach to living.

According to Sr Mary Jean Tague, a member of the Connecticut Council of Parish Nurse Coordinators, “Sr Doris is a captivating speaker who uses examples of her own artwork as she conveys to her audience a sense of deep appreciation for wholeness and balance.”

Also, many local and national health agencies, including the American Heart Association, will offer exhibits, provide resource materials, and answer questions at the event.

The attendance fee for the symposium is $50. Participants must register in advance. To register, contact St Vincent’s Parish Nurse Office at 203-576-5558.
