Symposium On Graveyard Preservation

SOUTH WINDSOR — Connecticut Gravestone Network, dedicated to the preservation of gravestones and cemeteries, is sponsoring a symposium, April 17, 9 am to 3 pm, at the Wapping Community Church.

Topics include: the Bartlett Family carving dynasty; lost burial grounds in Connecticut  — why?; smallpox and cemeteries: what each tells the other; and Connecticut cemetery archaeology: 18th Century tombs.

Registration is $10. Lunch is a nominal charge.
