Pinocchio Puppet Show At Library

Newtown’s Junior Girl Scout Troop 809 will be offering its second performance of Pinocchio: a puppet show on Saturday, April 17.

 The free performance begins at 1:30 and will be in C.H. Booth Library’s Knopeke Meeting Room, opposite the children’s department.

The girls have created a full production based on Carlo Collodi’s classic tale of a puppet who desperately wants to become a real little boy. The program is part of the library’s programming for World of Words, a statewide celebration of Connecticut’s literary and cultural roots. Additional programs continue all month.

Ages 4 to 10 are invited to attend the puppet show, which will be followed by a sing-along and short craft program. Registration is requested but not necessary; call 426-4533 for details.
