Paul V. Barrett

Paul V. Barrett, 50, of Mile Hill South, died unexpectedly April 7 at his home.

Mr Barrett was born in New Hartford, N.Y., on June 20, 1953, a son of the late Robert and Mary (Hoffman) Barrett. Before retirement, he was employed as credit manager for the Observer Dispatch Newspaper in Utica, N.Y. Mr Barrett has been a resident of Newtown the past two years.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Eastman and her husband Carl of Newtown; one son, Jason Barrett of Round Rock, Texas; three sisters, Ellen Contini and her husband Richard of Shawnee, N.J., Joan Barrett and her husband Richard Clark of Granby, Mass., and Jill Scalise and her husband Robert of Glendale, Ariz.; and one granddaughter, Brittany. Also survived by his former wife, Wanda (Stankiewicz) Christian of Round Rock, Texas.

Funeral services were held April 10 in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Cremation will be private.
