SOUTHBURY â The Love and Knishes Senior Lunch Program of The Federation â Jewish Community of Western Connecticut will meet on Tuesday, April 27. The luncheon takes place in the social hall at the Walzer Family Jewish Community campus, 444 Main Street North.
The food is freshly prepared each week by Chef Nancy Stokes. All programs are open to the public, and there is a suggested donation of $5.50 for seniors.
Lunch will be served at noon, followed by âMysteries and Miraclesâ at 1 pm. Storyteller Joyce Marie Rayno of Southbury entertains with tales that are witty, inspirational, funny, and moving. Ms Rayno encourages everyone to come, eat, listen, and meet members of the Golden Girls Red Hat Brigade, of which she is a member. She encourages other interested Red Hat Society members to wear their red hats and purple outfits, too.
