George F. Duncan

George F. Duncan, 62, husband of Maureen (Melycher) Duncan of Nunnawauk Meadows, died April 10 at his home.

He was born in Danbury on October 30, 1941, a son of the late Bert and Emily (Horton) Duncan. Mr Duncan was a lifelong resident of the Danbury area and was employed as a welder for area construction companies. He was a member of the Grace Christian Fellowship of Newtown.

In addition to this wife, survivors include three sons, George F. Duncan of New York City, Craig D. Duncan and his wife Linda of Danbury, and Robert J. Duncan and his wife Donna of Brookfield; two brothers, David Duncan of Delaware and Richard Duncan of Waterbury; three sisters, Elizabeth Souppa of Maine, Ella Scherack of Danbury, and Bertha Adams of Watertown. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Jourdan, Matthew, Robert, and Megan. He was predeceased by a grandson, Craig Duncan.

Funeral services were held April 13 in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, with Rev Barry Fredericks officiating. Interment took place April 14 in Newtown Village Cemetery.
