Frank E. Daniels

Frank E. Daniels, 92, of The Homesteads at Newtown, formerly of Bridgeport, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on April 12 after a three-year battle with cancer.

Born October 11, 1911, in Bridgeport, Frank was the son of Frank and Mary Danielewicz and he was the middle of three children, including the late Stasia Finch Houk and Helen Rohrbach.

He was the proud and loving husband for 13 years of Cecilia (Freedland Rosenberg) Daniels, and had been the widower of Selma (Eckler) Daniels, to whom he had been married for 53 years.

Mr Daniels is survived by his wife, Cecelia; his two children and their spouses, Jennifer Coventry and her husband Edward of Milford; and John Daniels and his wife Nancy of Holliston, Mass.; several grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service in Frank’s honor will be held in the Howland Memorial Chapel at the United Congregational Church, 877 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, on Saturday, April 24, at 11 am. A reception will follow immediately in the Guild Room.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Congregational Church, the Bridgeport Public Education Fund, 446 University Avenue, Bridgeport CT 06604, or Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury CT 06810.

The Spear Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield, is in charge of arrangements.
