Connecticut Choral Society Spring Concert
To Be Performed In Danbury & Waterbury
The  spring concerts of Connecticut Choral Society (CCS) will be performed on Friday, April 23, at St Peter Church, 104 Main Street in Danbury, at 8 pm, and Sunday, April 25, at First Congregational Church, 222 West Main Street in Waterbury, at 4 pm.
The CCS is directed by John Robert Liepold. The spring concerts will feature the famed Mozart Requiem (featured in the film Amadeus), the Bach cantata Christ lag in Todesbanden, and a selection from Brahmsâ Geistliches Lied with orchestra and professional soloists.
A pre-concert talk by Associate Conductor Scott Williamson, DMA, will be offered 30 minutes before each performance.
Admission is $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets are available at Drug Center in Newtown, Music Plus in Danbury, Villarinaâs Pasta & More in Southbury, and More Good Books in Woodbury.
In keeping with their philosophy of contributing to the communities in which they perform, the CCS will collect canned food for the Danbury Food Bank (Our Daily Bread) and the Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries at each concert. Attendees are asked to bring a donation of canned food for these very worthwhile charities.
