AARP Offers Driving Course
SOUTHBURY â Brownstein Jewish Family Service of the American Federation-Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut has joined with the American American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to offer a 55 Alive Mature Driving Course.
Classes will be held at the Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street North in Southbury. The two sessions will be held on Thursdays, May 6 and 13, from 9 am to 1 pm. Instruction will take place in classroom 8A. The fee for the course is $10; checks should be made out to AARP.
Participants over age 62 in this driversâ refresher course are eligible to receive a reduction of 5 percent in their auto insurance rates upon completion of the eight-hour class.
