Bernard F. O’Neill

Bernard F. O’Neill, 66, of Bridgeport, died April 15 in St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

Mr O’Neill was born in Doylestown, Penn., and was a former resident of Newtown. He was a retired employee for the Fermont Corporation, and was recently an employee of the Marchegiana Society Social Club, Bridgeport. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Port 5 Veterans Association, VFW Post #145, and  Marchegiana Society. He was a lifelong lover of the outdoors and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include three daughters, Colleen (O’Neill) Conlan of Vinalhaven, Me., Sharon O’Neill of Fairfield, Vt., and Siobhan O’Neill of Southbury; one brother, John O’Neill of Doylestown, Penn.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many longtime friends and fellow outdoorsmen.

The funeral was held on April 18 in the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
