Health & Wellness Fair

At Ashlar On May 17

Lockwood Lodge at Ashlar of Newtown and the Connecticut Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), have teamed up once again for the third annual “Healthy Lifestyles for Seniors On-The-Go” Health and Wellness Fair.

The fair will be held on May 17 from 10 am to 2 pm at Lockwood Lodge at Ashlar of Newtown on Toddy Hill Road.

This year’s fair will feature personal Reiki demonstrations; energy healing and polarity information and demonstrations; diabetic foot care including foot screenings and information; mini foot reflexology sessions; low-vision glaucoma screenings; blood pressure screenings; massage therapy sessions; posture screenings; and balance screenings.

In addition, Danbury Hospital’s Praxair Cancer Center and Department of Community Resources will be available and TRIAD will be handing out important information on how to protect against identity theft. Specialty items will be available for sale such as herbal pillows, foot warmers, medicinal magnets, and other items.

The first 200 attendees will be treated to free “Lunch-To-Go,” compliments of My Place restaurant of Newtown and DiPalma’s New York Pizza of Southbury.
