Supporting Cubs For A Cure

To the Editor:

I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who contributed to an extremely successful bake sale, which benefited Newtown’s Relay For Life.

Our team, Cubs for Cure, is a group of Cub Scouts and their parents from Pack 570, which is sponsored by St Rose, hoping to raise money for the fight against cancer. The team hosted a bake sale last weekend at St Rose Church. 

Thanks to the generosity of the St Rose parishioners, the donations of many yummy baked goods from the pack and the numerous volunteers who stayed to help with the sales, we were able to raise a whopping $697! Of course we couldn’t do it without the support of Father Bob as well. Thank you all! Here’s to finding a cure for cancer!
