Past Grand Commander Of International Order Of The Alhambra
Joseph L. Cimmino, Jr, 59, formerly of Fairfield, died April 10 at St Vincentâs Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, April 6, 1947, to Joseph and Mary Feraco Cimmino, he was a Fairfield town resident for most of his life before moving to Milford four years ago.
His brother, John A. Cimmino of Sandy Hook; sisters, Kathie Sabel of Milford and Vera Millo of Bridgeport; an aunt, Louise Bilyard; as well as several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews survive Mr Cimmino. He will be greatly missed by his âbest friendâ Feralana.
He had worked for the Kennedy Center for more than 25 years and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. He was a member of the former El Poder Caravan of the International Order of the Alhambra as well as its past Grand Commander. Mr Cimmino enjoyed fishing, swimming, and bowling and in his youth competed in the Connecticut Special Olympics.
Funeral services were held April 11 in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, Fairfield Center and in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield. Burial followed in St Michaelâs Cemetery.
