Easter Egg Events Rescheduled

Due to rain last weekend, the two Easter egg hunt events planned by Newtown Parks & Recreation were rescheduled.

The 2nd Annual Flashlight Egg Hunt will begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 14. Ages 9 and up and invited to bring their own flashlight and take part in an Easter egg hunt with a twist.

On Saturday, April 15, the younger crowd is invited to participate in its own Easter egg hunt. The fun starts at 10 am, when the Easter Bunny will arrive. There will be a Jelly Bean Guess and other activities taking place until 10:30, at which point the Easter egg hunts will begin.

There will be one area set up for children ages 3 and 4, and another area set up for those who are between the ages of 5 and 8.

Both events will be held at Dickinson Park, on Elm Drive. All participants should bring their own baskets or bags to carry home their eggs.
