Holy Week Easter Schedule: Friday, April 14, Good Friday Service of Darkness, 7:30 pm; Easter Sunday will be celebrated at the 7:30 am sunrise service, with Holy Communion. The featured anthem will be “An Easter Song.” After the service there will be an Easter breakfast followed by an egg hunt for the Sunday school children. A 10:30 am service will also be offered, with “The Heavens Proclaim” as the featured anthem, with Holy Communion. The calendar for the week includes Thursday, April 20, Council meeting, 8 pm.

Easter worship will begin at 6:30 am on Castle Hill with the deacons leading the service. There will also be services in the sanctuary, with the Reverend Touloukian leading the 9 am service and the Reverend Moore leading the 11 am service. Both ministers will be a both services, as will Lay Minister Ed Corfey. There is a brass interlude planned with Christopher Benson and Dan Coffman and music by the Senior Choir at both services, ending with the choir’s invitation to the congregation to join in singing “The Hallelujah Chorus.” Sharon Goodkowski will sing “This Joyful Easterlude” at the 9 am service, and Mary Andreotta will sing “In the End of The Sabbath” for the 11 am service. Mr Coffman will direct the choir anthem, “Life Is Given,” and Phil Crevier will be playing piano and organ.

The Sanctuary Choir, under the direction of Thomas Cultice, will sing “Easter Bells with Joy Are Ringing,” “Crown Him With Many Crowns,” “Christ, We Adore Thee,” and “Alleluia” from The Messiah. There will be no Sunday school today. An Easter egg hunt will follow the worship service.
