To the Editor:

As the school year comes to a close, prom and graduation will be here before you know it.

While teenagers are focused on the photos, matching attire and dinner plans, it can be easy for parents to forget about the importance of meaningful conversations about the risks of underage drinking.

Unsure about how to start the conversation?

While there’s no one way to talk with your teen, Family Talk About Drinking can help guide you — it’s a free resource for parents designed to encourage open and honest communication with children of all ages about alcohol use, underage drinking, boundaries and responsible choices.

You can find Family Talk About Drinking resources online to help start these important conversations by visiting familytalkaboutdrinking.com — or their companion sites on social networks.

For parents, we know that the safety of their children is always their number one priority. That’s why Dichello Distributors, Inc and Anheuser-Busch are committed to preventing underage drinking, impaired driving and other harmful use of alcohol.

To date, [these entities have] invested more than $1 billion in responsible drinking initiatives and community-based programs. But we can’t do it alone.

We invite you to join us in using the tools provided by Family Talk About Drinking to have these important conversations with the teenagers in your life — early and often.
