Earth Day this year is April 22, but the local celebration has been canceled.

The Southwestern Connecticut Chapter of the United Nations Association advocates and supports U.N. programs to preserve the global environment. We encourage student participation in education and community building to address global warming and the myriad effects of climate change such as migration, famine, social upheaval and rising sea levels. Students are invited to creatively promote United Nations’ sustainable development goals, legal protections for nature, efforts to preserve biodiversity, the findings of International Panel on Climate Change or other UN initiative related to global warming.
DO use content and ideas from organizations like UN agencies, programs, funds, thought leaders, or educators.
REQUIREMENT: 1) use UNASWCT logo, 2) include UNASWCT QR code and 3) refer to Earth Day. See examples at https://www.dropbox.com/s/ykl890scv6hxtks/20190205%20qrcode5.jpg?dl=0.
Details for the contest can be found at www.unaswct.org. Digital and hand-illustrated entries are encouraged.
