Scott Getzinger, 46, of Newtown, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, died suddenly in a car accident on April 7. He was born December 20, 1965, in Hamden, Conn., to Ronna and Warren Getzinger, now of Branford.

Mr Getzinger originally hailed from Branford, graduating from Branford High School in 1984. Readers of The Branford Review may remember the humorous columns he wrote on life at BHS. Additionally, he attended the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and Southern Connecticut State University.
He worked as a property master in the film and television industry, providing props for more than 25 movies, including Spider-Man, Independence Day, The Truman Show, and the upcoming Men In Black III and The Dark Knight Rises.
