Planning A Sock Hop For Hound Dogs
Grab your poodle skirts and saddle shoes and head over to the Edmond Town Hall Gym on April 21. From 8 to 11:30 pm that Saturday, the gym will be transformed into a 50s wonderland for Canine Advocates of Newtownâs first âNothin But A Hound Dogâ Sock Hop.
With dance music of the 50s and 60s provided by PowerStation and a special appearance by Newtown musician Suzan Hurtuk, organizers expect it to be a fun-filled night.
Tickets are $30 each and include 3½ hours of memories, a silent auction, dance contest, light fare, and complimentary wine and beer and donated by Yankee Spirits and Stop & Save Liquors.
Tickets can be purchased at C.H. Booth Library or Drug Center Pharmacy. They can also be purchased by sending a check and a self-addressed stamped envelope to Canine Advocates of Newtown, PO Box 236 Newtown, CT 06470.
