C.H. Booth Library has recently announced that Danbury resident Shannon Henggeler won their 2025 Adult Winter Reading Bingo Challenge. The challenge ran from January 3 to March 13 and encouraged people to step out of their comfort zone and read something they might not have read otherwise.

Henggeler stopped by the library with a friend on Friday, April 4 to pick up her grand prize, an Amazon gift card.

After the success of their recent challenge, C.H. Booth Library staff will keep the fun going by holding a 2025 Adult Spring Reading Bingo Challenge, also referred to as “Springo Bingo.” People ages 18 and older are once again encouraged to pick up a bingo card at the Circulation or Reference Desk of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street. Each bingo square has a different prompt inside, which people can cross out after reading the respective book. Each book, ebook, or audiobook can only be used for one category. Horizontal, vertical, and diagonal bingos count. Every row completed earns an entry into the grand prize drawing.

Bingo cards must be turned into the library by Friday, May 30 to enter for the grand prize. The grand prize drawing will be on Saturday, May 31.

Fresh off her win from the recent bingo challenge, Henggeler said that she and her friend were already planning to fill out their bingo cards for “Springo Bingo.”
