The Society of the Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) is presenting its annual Spring Juried Show & Sale at Art and Frame Gallery, 77 Main Street, through May 30.

Show hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.

Media accepted into the show includes works in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, graphics, printmaking, sculpture (with its own stand), and mixed media (including collage).

An Artists’ Reception and Awards event is planned for Saturday, April 12, from 4 to 6 pm. The awards will be presented at 5.

The annual Larry Newquist Award for Excellence/Best in Show prize and numerous other prizes will be given for outstanding work at the show reception. The public is invited to the reception, as well as to the exhibition.

Jurors for selection and awards are nationally known artists Kathy Anderson, Dennis William Stuart, and Katushka Millones.
