Hawk Laxmen Blank Green Wave 19-0

Newtown High School's boys' lacrosse team visited New Milford and came away with a 19-0 win on April 4.

Tanner Stergue was dominant on the draw, winning 21 faceoffs and the defense of Andre Shirk, Alec Budd, Jake Bulkley, Andre Sokk, Michael Haddick, and Fritz Maurath helped goaltender Jake Dandrea pitch a shutout.

Aiden Coleman and Connor Breslin each logged four goals and two assists, Brennan Mayer had three goals and two assists, Sokk tallied three goals and an assist, Brett Pierce logged three net-finders, Brandon Manka had a goal and an assist, and Tanner Trede scored a goal.

With the win, the Nighthawks improved to 2-1 overall. Coach Scott Bulkley's Hawks will visit Stepinac of New York on Saturday, April 13, at 2 pm and will be home on Tuesday, April 16, when South-West Conference rival Weston visits at 7 pm.
