Newtown High School's boys' golf team defeated Bethel 181-256, at Rock Ridge Country Club, on April 9.

David Brestovansky shot a 41 for medalist honors. Ryan Patrick and Ryan Kost each had a 43, Jake Mailloux had a 54, Tim Davis a 55, and Jack Heinlein a 55.

The Nighthawks improved to 2-0 with a win over host Notre Dame Fairfield, at Fairchild Wheeler Black Course, the next day. NHS shot a 185 and Notre Dame had a 215. Patrick shot a 45, Kost 46, Brestovansky and Davis each a 47, Heinlein a 50, and Mailloux a 60.
