Kathryn P. Dubin

Kathryn P. "Kay" "Catherine" (Winters) Dubin, 97, of Trumbull died peacefully April 2 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. She was born in West Hazelton, Penn.

Three children, Greg Dubin, and his wife Linda, of Sandy Hook, Dr Gary Dubin of Madison, and Donna Cassino, and her husband Thomas, of East Norwich, L.I.; son-in-law Ed Kasper of Trumbull; nine grandchildren, Craig Kasper, Tom Cassino, Cheryl Rasmussen, Jennifer, Kelly, and Chris Dubin, Brock and Conor Dubin, and Ashley Marinaro; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Dubin. Her husband, Paul; daughter, Denece; and siblings Grace, Arlene, and Pierce, predeceased Mrs Dubin.

She moved to New Jersey in 1941, where she worked for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company Long Lines as a supervisor, instructor, and supervisor of teletype. While instructing she received a letter of commendation from the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration in Washington, DC.

Mrs Dubin and her family moved to Trumbull in 1963. She worked at Sears in Bridgeport as a teletype and phone operator, where she received two courtesy awards. After Sears closed in 1992 she worked as a receptionist for Maefair Health Centers. Subsequently she did volunteer work at the Jewish Home for the Elderly and St Joseph's Manor. She was an honorary member of the Fayerweather Yacht Club Women's Auxiliary and was a past board member.

A memorial service will take place April 23, at 11 am, at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will be private.
