A Successful Silent Auction

To the Editor:

My name is Karen Bambino, president of the Newtown Congregational Preschool, and I am writing you today to be able to give thanks to all who helped make our silent auction on March 28 a huge success.

I would like to especially thank Martin Beanco, maitre de ceremonies, who did an amazing job hosting the event, Jacqueline Krekorian and Michele Payne for making our class quilts, Shannon Mulligan and Jennifer Nelan for organizing the auction and for putting an enormous amount of time in preparing for and planning the event along with the help of the committee members, David Nowacki for handcrafting two beautiful benches, Kathy Murdy and Melissa Mckee for all of your help in making this day possible, Donna and Ed Miklaszewski for putting together a slide show of the children, all of the parents who volunteered their time and efforts in gathering donations and helping out at the auction, and, of course, the community for their generous donations which made this auction possible.

Thank you again for all that you did. Because of your generosity we will be able to brighten young children’s lives again next year.

Sincerely,

Karen Bambino
