Newtown-based TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc (TRNA), a global leader in regulatory compliance testing and certification that accelerates time to market for manufacturers, has purchased Flextronicsâ EMC Laboratory in Youngsville, N.C. This purchase includes additional complete test capabilities for NEBS (Network Equipment Building Systems) GR-1089-CORE required for telecommunication equipment manufacturers.
With a Rohde & Schwarz 20 Hz to 40 GHz receiver for emissions and immunity and a two and four Wire AC Power Fault System, TRNA now provides this complete service required by the regional Bell operating companies.
William Ronzio, TRNAâs southeast area manager, said, âThis acquisition positions TRNA to become one of the premiere providers of a full-service compliance laboratory in the southeast boasting safety, EMC, machinery, and ISO 9000 services locally.â
Testing and certification services are available for medical devices, industrial machinery, and pressure equipment as well as EMC compliance testing at a clientâs site.
TRNA offers expert CE Marking services for the European Union and more than two dozen international approval certifications â including Russiaâs GOST-R certification and Chinaâs CCC Mark â for more streamlined access to foreign markets.
TRNAâs 10,000-square-foot facility is located off Highway 540 and Route 1 in proximity to Raleigh and Durham, N.C.
