Benefit Event For Woodbury Theater Company

WOODBURY — The Main Street Theater Company (MSTC) will host a “Back to the Future” benefit from 6 to 9 pm on Saturday, April 26, at its theater headquarters, 124 South Pomperaug Avenue in Woodbury. The goal of the charitable event is to reveal to the community the theater’s potential – by featuring what has been done in the past, and what is possible for the future.

MSTC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is committed to the performing arts education and training of the community’s youth and adults. This is accomplished through various workshops and summer camps, as well as producing, developing and performing various productions throughout the year.

The adult open house forum will include wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres provided by Coriander of Woodbury, as well as entertainment by MSTC students who will perform numbers from past productions like Oliver, Pepys Show and Snoopy! The Musical throughout the evening, accompanied by master pianist Tim Smith of Southbury.

Additional activities will include a silent auction of items and services donated by local businesses, including tickets to the 2003 Buick Classic PGA Tournament, a health club membership to Dolce Heritage, lunch for two at The Pantry, a pearl necklace from Gayle O’Neill Jewelry, dinner for two at Coriander of Woodbury, an aromatherapy body wrap from Clary Sage Spa, and a signed limited edition print by artist Lorraine Skelsky-Chapin.

Benefit attendees will also have the opportunity to get a glimpse into the future by having their own fortune told by a psychic reader.

Tickets are $40 per person in advance or $45 at the door. Attendees must be 21 years or older. Reservations can be made by April 19 by calling the theater at 203-263-7618.

For more information regarding “Back to the Future,” contact either event co-chair Wendy Westcott at 203-758-9758 or Lauren D’Amato at 203-263-0854.
