To the Editor:

It was an honor to attend the Newtown High School Musical, Hello Dolly, and the Newtown Middle School Musical, Beetlejuice.

Indeed, Newtown is a mecca for developing Fine Arts talent among our youth within our public schools. The team work associated with critical thinking, cross discipline learning, and artistic talent transfixed all who were in attendance at both musicals. The stage craft, costumes, and performances were a “Broadway” inspiration. A really wonderful aspect of both productions was the unity of purpose and esprit de corps among kids, parents, and educators.

Did we ever need that kind of inspiration! Thank you to the cast, crew, and all the others for presenting the best of “value added education” to the entire community.
