Police Probe Suspicious Incident On Fairchild Drive
Police said they are investigating a âsuspicious incidentâ that occurred on Fairchild Drive about 2:20 pm on Tuesday.
A 16-year-old female high school student was dropped off by a school bus at her bus stop at the intersection of Fairchild Drive and Taunton Hill Road, after which she walked alone toward her home on Fairchild Drive, police said.
The girl told police that an older, reddish sedan then began following her as she walked on the street. The girl told police that the auto contained two black males who were wearing caps. The age of those males is unclear, police said.
âThere was no verbal or physical contact between the occupants of the vehicle [and] the complainant,â police said in a statement.
Police Sergeant Douglas Wisentaner said that some of the girlsâ friends then arrived in the area in another vehicle, after which the reddish sedan left the area.
The girl and her parents later lodged a complaint about the incident with police. School officials have been informed of the matter, the sergeant said.
Sgt Wisentaner asked anyone with information about the incident to contact police at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 426-5841.Â
