Midday on April 6, police arrested a 15-year-old boy at Newtown High School, charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found to have a drug-usage device on the high school grounds.
After processing, police released the boy on a written promise to appear April 20 in Danbury Juvenile Court. State law conceals the identities of people under age 18 who are charged with crimes.    Â
Vehicle Break-In
Sometime between 5:15 and 6:15 pm on April 6, someone smashed in a passenger-side window of a vehicle parked in a commercial parking lot at 23 Commerce Road and stole a purse and a carrying bag, police report. Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 270-4255.
Vandalism
At about 1 am on April 1, a plywood panel that had been attached over a window space at Norwalk Hall at Fairfield Hills was found to have been removed from the building, police said.
Police are investigating the incident as a case of trespassing and vandalism. They ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
