Mason Should Be Commended, Not Fired
Mason Should Be Commended,
Not Fired
To the Editor:
Please accept this as an open letter to Joe Borst and the Town of Newtown. I was disturbed to read in last weekâs Bee that Animal Control Officer Carolee Mason had been fired. As most of us know, conditions at the shelter are terrible. I visit frequently, and have always found Carolee responsive and respectful. She is committed to helping the many animals who are in need, despite the fact that the building is cramped and in a perpetual state of disrepair. Anyone who devotes time there as an employee or as a volunteer is to be commended.
A better facility would be ideal, but first reinstate Ms. Mason to her position.
Sincerely,
Paula Brinkman
