NUSAR Seeks Volunteers

Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue (NUSAR) is seeking volunteers to join the rescue team.

 Founded in 1989, NUSAR is composed of volunteer scuba divers and non-divers. It is the primary responder for all water-related emergencies in Newtown and also responds to the needs of surrounding towns. Prepared for swift water rescue, underwater search, rescue, and recovery, NUSAR promotes water safety and safe boating through loaner life jacket and safety awareness programs.
