It’s Raffle Time Again, Compliments Of Woman’s Club

Imagine a Sunday afternoon in late June when you and a guest are picked up at your home in a stretch limousine and whisked into New York City.

Your destination is the June 27 matinee showing of the hit Broadway musical Wicked playing at The Gershwin Theatre. It is the story of what those good and evil witches in the Wizard of Oz were doing before they met Dorothy, and what the wizard was up to before Dorothy’s dog Toto came on the scene and pulled aside the curtains.

Then you will be treated to a dinner for two at the Firebird Restaurant on West 46th Street for a truly memorable dining experience Russian style.

Following dinner, you may wish to take a drive through Central Park or down Fifth Avenue, and perhaps sip a glass of complimentary champagne from the car bar as your limousine makes the journey home to Newtown.

All these good things might come your way, free of charge, if you win the Premier Raffle Prize offered by the Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, Inc.

Buy a $10 raffle ticket and take your chances. Only 325 tickets will be sold and there will be a total of three winners drawn on Thursday, May 20, at the club meeting/luncheon held at the 707-On-Main Restaurant in Monroe.

Second Prize is a Surf and Turf Dinner for four (or entrees of your choice) at the Stony Hill Inn in Bethel.  Third Prize is a leisurely brunch for two at the stylish Compass Restaurant of Newtown.

All proceeds benefit Greater Newtown and Connecticut charities.
