  Wooster Auction And Dinner Dance

Theater tickets, vacation accommodations, and an autographed movie script will be among the hundreds of items offered at Wooster School’s annual fundraising Auction and Dinner Dance on Saturday, April 17, at 6 pm. The event, sponsored by the school’s Parents’ Association, will be held in Wooster’s “Forever Young” gymnasium. The evening will feature a musical performance by The Gigabytes, a group of musicians that include Wooster parents and the headmaster.

For more than ten years, this event has helped to finance Wooster programs. This year, proceeds will be used for computer labs and technology upgrades throughout the school.

Donations include the film script for When Harry Met Sally signed by Billy Crystal, autographed sports memorabilia (including a Trump Tower baseball cap signed by Donald Trump), a 50-inch projection TV, dinners and brunches at various restaurants, movie passes and theater tickets, passes for sports and recreational activities, tennis, swimming, cooking, and chess classes, a ride on a seaplane, gift baskets; home accents, jewelry and fashion items, massages, facials, spa treatments and manicures, and automotive and legal services. Unique donations include four weeks at Buck’s Rock Camp for the Performing and Creative Arts.  Vacation accommodations will be auctioned as well, including a ski condo in Telluride, Colo., and vacation homes in St Croix and Hawaii.

Wooster School, located on Miry Brook Road in Danbury, is an independent coeducational day and college-preparatory school with approximately 430 students in grades K–12. Founded in 1926, Wooster’s mission is to foster the intellectual, spiritual, ethical, aesthetic, and physical development of boys and girls of diverse backgrounds.

To purchase tickets to the event, or to make a donation, contact Earlene Welch at 914-763-4673 or Meg Brisson at 203-431-2976. Tickets are $75 each, or $700 for tables of ten. Information is also available on the Wooster website at www.woosterschool.org and click on the auction gavel.
