Waterbury Man Charged With Forgery
State police said they charged a former employee at the APT substance abuse treatment center in Greenwich House at Fairfield Hills with 26 counts of third-degree forgery and one count of second-degree larceny in connection with incidents which occurred late last year and early this year.
State police said that on January 10, APT filed a complaint concerning larceny and forgery. APT also is known as the Daytop program.
An investigation disclosed that between November 2000 and January 2001, a total of 26 checks valued at a total of more than $6,500 were forged and cashed by Kerry E. Linden, 26, of Waterbury, state police said.
State police said they served a warrant against Linden on the charges April 6. State police released Linden on a promise to appear April 16 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
