VNA Says Thanks
VNA Says Thanks
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Newtown Visiting Nurses Association, I would like to thank the people of Newtown for their continued support. The VNA raises funds to be used solely for the town residents.
This past year, the organization has been able to provide health monitoring to the children at the Adventure Center, monthly blood pressure screenings at the Senior Center, flu vaccinations, and scholarships to residents pursuing careers in nursing.
Our funds are raised through the sale of clothing and small home goods in our Thrift Shop, located in the rear of the Edmond Town Hall. Our spring and summer items are now available, and we welcome any donations the townspeople have for us. The goods can be dropped off during our hours of operation, Wednesdays from noon to 3 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to noon.
It is the generosity of the local townspeople that enables us to provide services to our community, including our newest service, Home Helpers, that seeks to provide assistance in the home for those who qualify; questions about that service to our homebound can be answered at 426-8241.
We look forward to your visit to the VNA Thrift Shop!
