VNA Creates Speakers Bureau

DANBURY — The newly formed Danbury Visiting Nurse Association Speakers Bureau is a service that is being offered to organizations and businesses in the greater Danbury area.

Nurses, social workers, and community health staff from Danbury Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) are available to share information on a range of health, business, and community service topics.

“Danbury VNA is committed to the communities it has served since 1911. The Speakers Bureau is a natural extension of our dedication to educating the public about health and wellness,” explained Ann Faraguna, executive director.

VNA professionals are prepared to speak to a variety of organizations including community groups, church groups, business associations, professional societies, seniors, civic groups, parent-teacher organizations, and fraternal orders.

“As consumers, we all have healthcare questions and concerns. Danbury VNA is prepared to help educate your organization’s members – at no cost,” continued Ms Faraguna.

Some of the topics offered through the Speakers Bureau include “What You Need to Know about Communicable Diseases,” “Managing Chronic Arthritis Pain,” “When a Loved One Needs Home Care: What to Expect and Request,” and “Balancing Technology training with Productivity Levels.”
